Bourjois Effet 3D lipgloss...?

Is it worth buying? Coz I really need a new lipgloss with a pinkish tinge since I already have a million nude/beige lipglosses and I've read that it's quite good. I'm South East Asian so I have dark olive skin and I was wondering if you do recommend it...which colour would suit me (preferably wit a pinkish tinge)...

They are discontinuing this line at Sephora because they now sell Bourjois at Target stores. It has just started, so it may not be to your Target yet. And the good news is, is that the prices are supposed to be lower now!

Yeah I think they are a good makeup brand. I do like the brand but their packaging always seems to fail with me. It looks great, but not very reliable.. well not for me anyway. The lip gloss I bought kept leaking out the bottle, the powder foundation crumpled up by itself and the lid off the blusher stopped shutting properly. But I do think the makeup is good quality and I love all the different eye shadow and blusher shades. The mascara is amazing too! I'd recommend Bourjois Clubbing Mascara. THIS IS AMAZING, I ordered it the first day Sephora had it on their site. Mascaras are my guilty indulgence. I model and get a taste of the thickest and best, and when something new for thickening and lengthening comes out, I grab it, even if I haven't used it yet. Unfortunately, at that time at Sephora's it was only available in brown or blue. I got the brown, and have never used brown mascara before because I always assumed it would not give enough definition, etc......my lashes have NEVER been so full and glorious, even in BROWN!! I bought it, and its no different to any other Bourjois mascara I've had - its fantastic. It has just the right amount of wax in to hold the curl of the lash. Its a definite recommend - but don't get the brown, get the black. Brown mascara is a waste of money.

Theres really a lot you could do. There are so many products out there so what I end up doing is starting cheap and trying out a few different ones.The review site is pretty good at http://www.brandsmakeup.com visit and see what everyone recommends.
I had that exact product in a dark purple colour and it was actually really good, much better then I expected. I definately think it's worth the money.

For a normal eyeshadow, I believe the price is $14.50. If you get the MAC pro compact (at MAC stores only, not MAC counters), the eyeshadows are only $10.00. The pro compact is awesome, because it has these magnetic holes, and the eyeshadow pops right in. You can change them up if you want to slip something in your purse.





Quality--unbeatable for the price--the pigments are rich, stay put all night (or day), don't crease, and stay the same color (even if you sweat or are in the club)





Size--1.5 gram/.05 oz.





The best part about MAC is the Back to MAC program. Simply save up 6 empty MAC plastic containers (anything--eyeshadow, lipstick, powder) , and you can take them to a MAC store. You get one free eyeshadow, lipglass, or lipstick for every 6 containers, and they recycle them for you. I love getting stuff for free!

Well, I have some of each so I will just give you my opinion. Bourjois is a little bit more expensive, but the color goes on pretty smooth. The color is not as vibrant as MAC. I like Bourjois because most of the colors come 3 to a palette so you can either wear them individually or blend them together. My favorite is the pink. It has 3 shades of pink and I love to wear them separeately and blended. I love MAC though becasue there are so many colors to choose from, they are bright, and they stay on for a long time.l
MAC is the better of the two, in my opinion. It was created by make up artists, primarily for makeup artists.





Bourjois is a good cheap alternative, but I would always choose MAC. It is excellent quality, and they have a great range of different eye shadows. Their liquid one is the only liquid eye shadow that I haven't had creasing problems with.





The price in the UK is about 拢10 for a pot of pigment, but that pot will last you a LONG time. They stay on my eyes perfectly all day and night, and because most of them are loose powders they are very versatile to use.. you can pile them on easily, use them as liner, use them lightly, and they all blend very well.





Bourjois is a good brand, and tends to last well, but the range of colours and products is tiny in comparrison to MAC, and I like a good choice of colour.








Personally I tend to stick to Urban Decay and MAC for eye shadow, but I'd try both MAC and bourjois and then you can know what works best for you.

Im a MAC girl as well. If staying power is something you have issues with, I highly suggest the MAC eyeshadow primer. You put in on your lids before the shadow and it really does work. You could also try the MAC paints. Its a creme formula in a little paint tube and you apply it with a brush. I have worn the paints with a matching powder eyeshadow over it out dancing all night and it still looked fresh at 4am. As for cost, eyeshadows are $14 and since they have more pigment than other brands you actually use less in the long run.

Hi, I'm a great fan of Bourjois blusher and eye shadows but not the foundation, I tried the fatigue, 10 hours sleep one but it made me look shiny yet dull! I am very fair skinned and use the Maybelline dream matte which is amazing, goes on so creamy then it's anti-shine. Looking for a Bourjois lipstick! Help!?

It seems that Bourjois have stopped making this particular lipstick - its No 17 and is a creamy beige colour and the case is the colour of the lipstick (or close anyway). I have searched their counters in the Brighton area with no luck - anyone got any ideas or any of these lying around that I could buy off you? I know its a pathetic request but its the only colour I wear! There is nothing even close to it in other brands, in fact the closest I can get is a concealer and I don't wanna wear that on my lips! the other technique which I use when I can't find sth is:








take a (clean) white sheet of paper or even tissue,


put some of the colour of the product I am running out (this makes the colour clear) %26amp; write the name next to it so it doesn't get confusing


then look around different brands %26amp; put the ones I think are the closest match under, (again write name %26amp; colour next to it)





until I found an exact match or very similiar colour!

Bourjois hasn't gone out of business, it's part of Chanel and i haven't seen them shutting down. They have re-vamped all the range so I agree with the others try putting the shade number into ebay and then buy a joblot!

Yep :) Holds a curl rather well. I love Bourjois mascaras, they do as they say.


Gives good volume %26amp; lasts a while. I had my tube about 4 months %26amp; I use lashings of it :D

yes it is a good one. i have the bright pink fuschia shade but i do recall there was a pretty pale pink in the line. its a lipstick that feels like lip balm its very smooth and i love the packaging, v cute. pricey though 拢7. i think u could find an eyally good one for 拢4/5.

Yes, you want to use a Lash Enhancer alone. I would not put mascara over it. I personally can't go without mascara, so I put my lash enhancer on my lashes and brows at night and sleep in it. Works great.
you can use it alone because the function of this base coat is to strengthen your eyelashes only, not really a mascara.

Since they bake their eyeshadows, the baking process may have changed the color slightly if they left it baking even a little more than 1 minute from the previous batch.Bourjois eyeshadow question?
I use that colour and i find that when i get to the bottom of the pot it looks more gold..
They may change it sometimes as a market changes. Or when they think it does. Try in another store.

Bourjois have some really nice blusher shades, and quite a few that are just matte colours, no sparkles.





If not, try somebody that does more neutral, natural shades like Clinique.

The best natural looking foundation Ive ever used has to be Max Factor. It covers really well and doesnt look cakey. Plus its transfer resistant, so it doesnt come off on your clothes. It lasts all day aswell which a lot of other foundations dont
I would definetly recommend max factor colour adapt its far better than bourjois, give it a try and i bet youll love it

I bought it awhile back and I really like it but... it's more like a tinted lotion than a foundation, so if you want something that provides good cover then this isn't it. Personally, I love that it's really light and doesn't feel like I have lots of makeup on, and I can tell it will be great for summer. It's also very good at evening out skin colour, for example, I have a few redder bits on my face and this stuff does miracles for making my skin look evenly toned. It smooths on best over moisturizer and a big plus is that it has nice stuff in it that leaves your face feeling very soft. If you want a few more reviews then makeupalley.com is a great place to visit. They have a product reviews section where you can look up things by brand and product type.
I liked it too, great for evening out skin, I would use a primer or something underneath as it's not great for coverage but nice and light, an all round good buy!

Got it and love it! Ive bought my second tube already in black! I would recommend it for all that it does. I sweat a bit and used 2 get marks on my top lid and now i dont. Its great and i recommend it! I have long lashes and they look quite false and huge when im done. Ive had compliments and ppl say they think theyre beautiful. I wouldnt use any other now so yes get it! I fully recommend it and dont recommend any other now but each to their own!

I've tried many different eyeliners and the best 2 for me were rimmel soft kohl kajal eyeliner, and maybelline unstoppable eyeliner. it depends what effect you want. if your looking for an eyeliner that will last you through most of the day use maybelline unstoppable eyeliner, but if your looking for a really bold effect use rimmel, thats the one i use at the moment, it doesnt stay on quite as long but its definately more dramatic.

For liquid, I love Chanel's Ecriture de Chanel. It's like a felt tip pen and gives idiot proof cat eyes when you line your upper lid only.

I think that you need to try and find which one is best for you. But for me I use Barry M Kohl eye pencils, because they are so easy to apply.
I have that one too. That ones not really for everyday use. I reccomend, MAC charcoal. It looks like an eyeshadow and you have to buy the little brush. It works really well.

Lancome pencils are great and don't tend to fade throughout the day. Mary Kay has a good eyeliner too for the price. The MK pencils twist up and don't last near as long as a pencil that you sharpen.

Firstly, if you want waterproof don't pick up the actual blue mascara by mistke. I now have a pretty useless bottle of light blue mascara which looks awful on, even if worn on the tips.





You probably don't need waterproof because it's tearproof. You probably need waterproof if you want to go swimming, as i forgot i was wearing it and after i came of i had black specks of mascara everywhere.





Anyway the brush is a bit weird and takes a little while to get used to. If not used correctly it can be a very clumpy. It makes your eyelashes feel a bit weird. And it can look like you only have about 5 lashes. And you can't really put more than one layer on because it will make you look like you have even less lashes.

hi....i recently bought this mascara and im not keen on it.


it makes my eyelashes clumpy and is quite dry so you cant really put on more than one coat.also when i took my make-up off a few of my eyelashes fell out! also it says it glows under uv light but you cant even see it! i have been using avons supershock mascara and its amazing! really big brush with long bristles it grabs every lash and makes them look really separate x
I personally dont like this mascara.. Theres something about the brush i think that i cant get on with, so much so that i've swapped the brush for a old maybelline one. But i just got the new Rimmel max volume flash mascara (the bright pink tube) and it is really good! and so cheap too! x
If you want a wow effect then go for maxfactor false lash.

but personally, i think there is not much difference between bourjois coup de theatre noir diva. they both give the same effect. my absolute favourite mascara is bourjois maxi mascara extreame volumising length mascara in black. my eye lashes are so short and stumpy but when i apply this they look so long, almost like im wearing false eyelashes. i have tried all the mascaras you can think of and this is the best by far.





when choosing a mascara, consider the types of mascara and select one appropriate for your lashes and the occasion. you have a choice of lengthening, thickening, long-wearing, conditioning and waterproof formulas, among others. for day, you might decide to add length, while a night on the town may require a long-wearing or thickening formula. for me, mac mascaras are the best as i like to add length to my lashes.





you didnt mention the natural colour of your lashes? if you have blond or red lashes, opt for brown mascara. darker-lashed women can consider brown for a casual look, and black or brown-black for more pronounced or dramatic lashes.





when applying mascara a great tip is to curl your lashes with an eyelash curler, it will make your lashes look heaps longer. remove the wand from the tube in one pull. pumping the mascara will push air into the tube, potentially drying out the formula and introducing bacteria into it.





begin with the underside of your upper lashes, moving the brush slowly upward toward the tips of your lashes. always hold the wand parallel to your eyelid. roll the brush slowly on the upward stroke to promote separation of the lashes.





allow the first coat of mascara to dry before applying the second coat in the same manner. use an eyelash comb to separate the wet lashes. also blot the lashes with tissue paper if necessary to remove excess mascara. use less mascara for the lower lashes. begin where the lashes meet the rim of the lower eyelid, and gently stroke downward. remove any stray mascara around the eye with a cotton swab dipped in a small amount of eye makeup remover.

The volume clubbing has a massive brush with huge spaces between the brissles - so as a result my eyelashes were clumped together and had lumps of mascara just stuck to them. A pro however is that there is alot of mascara in the tube. Which mascara you buy depends on what way you like you lashes to look. If you like them full them buy a drier mascara like some maybelline ones. If you like them to look natural but longer then a wetter one with those new plastic bristles is best, like masterpiece/masterpiece max
I have never used maybelline colossal but bourjois mascaras are all fantastic! In my opinion they are twice as good as top end mascaras like Chanel (cost me almost double and not worth it).
definately maybeline, maybeline have won loads of awards specifically for their mascaras. i have it and think its brillaint, bourjois can be very clumpy.

I once went to get them dyed before I went on holiday and the beauty therapist kept dyeing and dyeing them until she realised that the reason they looked so sparse wasn't her fault - there was just nothing to work with! I have tried every single lengthening, volumising mascara I could get my hands on and Volume Shocking is absolutely the best - better than Coup de Theatre, Max Factor, Intense or Lancome.

I would try volume glamour ultra black if you want to use bourjois. A good way to keep mascara lasting long is not to pump the brush in the tube. The more air you put in the bottle the more dried up and useless it will become. You can find it at Sephora. They do have Sephora's in JcPenney now just so you know. Also it's $13.50. I personally think there is skill to using the wand - but after enough practice you can apply it perfectly and you have full lashes. Although at the moment i use Rimmel volume flash in extreme black. I went to buy some waterproof volume clubbing mascara but by accident picked up the disco blue cos i was in a hurry. Also there was an offer on at the time so it only cost 拢5. It doesn't look very good on its own (especially as i have green eyes) but i use it on the tips of my lashes sometimes as a finishing touch rather like that mascara that 2 tone mascara from max factor.Has any1 Tried the new bourjois volume clubbing mascara is it gud? n what has it done for your lashes?
I find it only works if you put a thinner mascara on first!





Other wise it clumps and doesnt do you any favours.





However putting it on a second layer give your lashes a gorgeous volume and lenght boost!

by far, it gives a dramatic false lash look %26amp; the pigment is really strong so it gives the voluming effect you have more lashes.


and the brush is like flat on the sides so you can fill up on the mascara and then brush it through.


only need about two coats.

I can't really help as i've never really used a bourjois one.


However I'm using Rimmels sexy curves one at the moment - in a bright purple bottle, and it's amazing! Separates your lashes really well, no clumps or anything, with loads of volume, and makes them look really natural but dramatic :].

Hi Purple,yes bourjois mascara is suitable I use Coup de Theatre ( the black and white mascara ) I've used it for years It's my favourite mascara and I wear contact lenses.
Any eye makeup (or eye makeup remover) that you use should be oil-free, fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, and safe for your eyes and your contact lenses.





Mascara: To make the eyelashes look fuller, many mascaras contain rayon or nylon fibers. As the fibers dry out on your lashes, they can flake off and fall into the eye. If a contact lens wearer uses heavy mascara and the contact lenses are not completely cleaned off after wearing, the lenses can become damaged to the point





where they must be replaced. It is best for contact lens wearers to use a water-based mascara that is oil-and fragrance-free. Try to find one that is fiber-free as well, and apply it to the tips of the lashes only. Be careful when applying mascara. Damage to the eye from mascara wands and brushes can lead to serious infections.





Eyeliner: When applying eyeliner, use only a non-wood clenched pencil. Use water-based eyeliner and never apply it inside the lid margin.





Eyeshadow: Use pressed powders only. Avoid frosted shadows. Do not use excessive amounts of shadow, which may flake off the lid into the eye.

The best thing to do when buying makeup is to mix and match. I love smashbox cake liners, but I also love Bourjois lip glosses! You kinda have to try out different products from different lines. No one brand is going to fit all your needs. So I guess my answer is both, plus others :0)

i love all the colours! the fresh face 10 hour foundation/tinted moisturizer is so nice, it feels nice and light. i like the highlighter too and the pink blush's. but the mascara is TERRIBLE for me. i hate it, its so clumpy, i prefer MAC mascara to be honest. but yeah, bourjois is good :)

I love it. I know everyone is saying it's tested on animals... but i still like it. I don't use the foundation or blush, but i love the pencil eyeliner and the little pots of wet/dry eyeshadow. The colours they come in are amazing. Their mascara is also pretty good.

First, apply the white side (primer) to your lashes and let it dry. You may want another coat if you want thick, very full lashes.


Second, apply the black mascara (also, you may want another coat).

ive never tried bourjois but i have tried many rimmel products and they're cheap but you get what you pay for.


the only thing i would recommend would be glam eyes mascara for a natural look.
Well i personally use Rimmel and i must say that it is very good. It keeps my face less oily and it keeps my face glowing.
I love Bourjois, particularly for nail varnish and lippy. I use Rimmel quite a lot as well but Bourjois would be my favourite.

I find Rimmel very very greasy/oily and always give me a shiny face.
I am like you I used the pricer brands but one day I went into the make up store ULTA and saw Rimmel was buy one get one free. I tried their double sided eyeliner/eyeshadow and fell in love with it. The eyeliner/shadow stayed on all day. I also now have tried their bronzers and their nude lipstick called birthday suit that I can't live without. I have also seen Rimmel get alot of good reviews in alot of the fashion magazines.

All foundations are great but truly I have not used boujois so that might be better than Rimmel. But I'd say Rimmel, it is also cheaper.
Hi. I would use Rimmel. I currently use Rimmel and it works perfectly and i am so glad i am using it. Its a great foundation company and it is not to expensive. You should look into buying it.

Rimmel is pretty good, although I've never tried Bourjois. Rimmel is cheaper though.
Bourjoid hands down. I have used their foundation %26amp; it's great. esp one called Happy Light.

Which bourjois mascara is the best for me?

I am looking for a bourjois mascara which I can get in Luton (in the u.k) for adding LOADS of volume,quite a lot of length and doesn't make too many clumps. Btw it doesn't have to be waterproof but something that I can wear to school without having to worry about getting mascara running down my cheeks when it rains (its winter over here). I haven't tried this one but I've tried nearly everything else! I think Maybelline Age Rewind concealer is really very good - it has a concealer one end and a lightener/brightener the other. It was recommended by that makeup guru Paula Begoun (I think that's how you spell her name). She tests everything on the market and writes a book called something like 'Don't go to the Makeup Counter without Me'. Another excellent product is called Thin Lizzy concealer. I bought mine overseas but you might try ebay. They reckon that can cover tattoos and is not especially drying either. I use Prescriptives and it works really good. I have really dark circles under my eyes and all I have to do with my concealer is put it on the brush and dab right where the circles are. I gently blend in and I'm good. Prescriptives has a great coverage. I've never used Bourjois Paris but it might be good too.

I tried it and i like their lip gloss and blush.
Supposedly Chanel oversees Bourjois - but I just got some of bourjois's lipsticks and it reminds me of old lady colors in the eighties, frosty and caky peachy - not impressed

I own this mascara (out of many others) and was wondering since it comes with a double-sided brush, is there a certain special way to apply it (for example, with the flat side first and then with the side bristles for volume, definition %26amp; separation?? I just want to ensure that I get the full effect of this top-rated mascara.

oh i love this mascara!!! the flat side is only for definition and separation so use that second, use the big side and lash it on first for the max effect. when im doing a night look i would use 2 coats as well and just keep using the flat side to make sure they dont stick together.

i guess you can get both at the department stores, or you can try go to Watson, or you can also try search online on 88db to look for the Neutrogena and Bourjois products

When I worked Boots I noticed alot of people bought Bourjois as I had to keep restocking the shelves much to my annoyance. The colours in Bourjois eyeshadows are very virbant and seem to stick, well atleast they did on my black pants.





I own a Bourjois lipgloss and I love it. It would last longer if I didn't keep licking it off because I like the taste. The colours doesn't fade but the only problem is is once my hair has gotten stuck in my lipgloss it sticks to the rest of my hair.What do you think of the brands Bourjois and Urban Decay?
they are ok i think, i think urban decay is loads for what it is, you can get stuff as good which is like half the price. i have one bourjois mascara and its good, but i think loreal and maybelline are better though, i have used therew makeup for years.
They're both pretty good. Bourjois does some nice stuff, and Urban Decay does too but they're both quite expensive :/

i actually bought that for the SAME reason... and... i didn't like it. i didn't like the foundation itself.. i like the idea of it.. basically its just 2 bottles of foundation and if you twist the dial itll just put less of one and more of the other..


what i found to work is, go with the foundation that has a texture that you like, and then just get two bottle 2 color thats really close to your color, yes i know its more pricier this way, but think about it.. your face will always change color anyway from winter to summer.


ive had the same experience with having someone else match my color even though its a makeup artist. ive noticed its because of the lighting. sometime the lighting at the store just doesnt work. so if you go to a counter just get 2 color that you think looks really close and when you get home experiment with mixing colors. and the good thing about buying it at a counter or big store is (MAC, sephora) they let you return it! or exchange it!
